Bag Packing and Fundrasing Update!

With Christmas around the corner I plan on making the most of the festive season and peoples genorosity at this time of year. My goal stands at £3000 by the New Year, this being half of my fundrasing done before 2017! With a succesfull Curry Night under my belt (rasing £210) my spirits were high but I needed to harness this motiviation and keep going. I booked in for a five hour bag packing session (11:00 - 16:00) at Tesco Pengam Green with the hope of rasing around £70. My total so far was £2700, an enourmous amount but not quite half way!

In preperation for my bag packing event I gathered many of my leaflets (made on vistaprint.com) and bought four large buckets. I made four individual lids for the buckets cutting a hole in each one as a money slot. Leaflets and buckets at the ready we arrived early at Tesco. With Black Friday weekend coming to a close I was hoping to make the most of the last scramble of people hoping to catch the deals! After many bag packs and talking to different people about my amazing experience to come, money started coming in!

Arriving home tired and hugnry but thankful we could finally sit down, we poured the money on the table and it looked a lot more than I anticipated we'd make! Piles of pound coins and 50p's later we discovered the total of the day - £192!!! My total currently stands at £2964 with only £36 to go before i reach my New Year goal!
